After the explosions, the US embassy urged its citizens in Doha to stay in shelters for security purposes.
According to "Al-Hadath" channel, the attack was carried out against "Hamas" leaders who were discussing the US ceasefire proposal. High-ranking officials of the organization were in the building:
Khalil al-Hayya, leader in the Gaza Strip and head of the negotiating team,
Khaled Meshaal, head of the movement's office abroad,
Zaher Jabarin, commander of the group in the West Bank,
Political bureau members Nizar Awadallah and Ghazi Hamad.
Additionally, other high-level representatives of the organization are reported to have been at the meeting at the time of the incident.
"Al-Jazeera" TV channel reported that "Hamas" leaders survived after the explosion.
