The Hamas movement confirmed that Hammam al-Hayya, son of Khalil al-Hayya, one of the organization's leaders, and the director of his office were killed as a result of an Israeli airstrike on a headquarters belonging to the leadership in Qatar.
Modern.az reports that Suhail al-Hindi, a member of the Hamas Political Bureau, stated this in his statement to "Al Jazeera".
He said that the Hamas leadership survived the attack. According to him, the main responsibility for the attack lies with the USA:
"The free world must take a stand on this issue. We consider the US administration responsible for this attack," al-Hindi emphasized.
Let us remind that today, the Israeli army and Shin Bet (SHABAK) struck a headquarters belonging to the Hamas leadership in Doha, the capital of Qatar. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that this decision was a response to the terrorist attacks that occurred in Jerusalem and Gaza.
