In the first seven months of 2025, 225 block trains were received from China, which is approximately 2 times more than in the same period last year.
Modern.az reports that China's Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Lu Mei, stated this at today's briefing.
According to her, more than 400 block trains are expected to be received by the end of the year.
“Since the beginning of this year, China-Europe trains from Beijing and China's Shaanxi, Guangdong, and Zhejiang provinces have successfully departed via Azerbaijan along the Trans-Caspian route. Tomorrow I will participate in the reception ceremony of a China-Europe freight train arriving in Baku from Zhejiang,” the diplomat noted.
