Famous singer Alla Pugacheva gave a video interview to journalist Katerina Gordeeva, speaking about her departure from Russia in 2022 and her attitude towards the current government.
Modern.az reports that Alla Pugacheva, touching upon her departure from Russia, stated that the country “betrayed” her.
"How am I a traitor to my homeland? They say I spat on my heels and ran away. As if I've been lying on a soft sofa since childhood and the country fed me with a spoon. My working, my singing had no importance. A person has the right not to be insulted. I said a long time ago that I could leave the country if Russia betrayed me, and it did… But millions of fans did not betray me..."
For a long time, I thought – Putin is not a foolish man. I know him. I voted for him and was very happy: Firstly, he had said astonishingly correct words. Even about Ukraine. He had said everything I thought. He was simply an idol. Of course, it is a shock for me now.
