Ukrainian carriers will gain wider opportunities to operate abroad – Azerbaijan and Bosnia and Herzegovina have provided additional quotas for international cargo transportation to this country.
Modern.az reports this with reference to a post on the Facebook page of Serhiy Derkach, Deputy Minister for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development.
According to S. Derkach, Azerbaijan has provided Ukraine with 100 additional quotas for cargo transportation to third countries, which is 20% more than the main quota. Bosnia and Herzegovina has provided 300 additional quotas for bilateral, transit, and international transportation, which is 100% more than the previously established limit.
The new quotas will enable Ukrainian companies to carry out more trips, develop sustainable logistics routes, and expand their businesses.
The ministry official emphasized that expanding the capabilities of carriers remains a state priority. Additional permits are considered an important step towards strengthening international cooperation and developing the Ukrainian transport industry. The Deputy Minister stated that permit forms are being provided and will soon be made available to carriers through “Ukrtransbezopasnost”.
He added that active negotiations are ongoing to ensure stable access for Ukrainian carriers to the European Union market.
