King Charles III of Great Britain specially visited the world's oldest person.
Modern.az reports that this was stated in a BBC report.
The 116-year-old woman Ethel Caterham told the King that “all girls were in love with you in their youth and wanted to marry you”.
Ethel Caterham lives in a nursing home in Lightwater, Surrey.
Caterham became the oldest living person after the death of Brazilian nun Ina Canbarro Lucas at the age of 116 in April.
She had previously confessed that she preferred to celebrate a quiet birthday rather than meet the King.
Born on August 21, 1909, three years before the Titanic disaster, Caterham lived through the Russian Revolution, the Great Depression, two world wars, and the COVID-19 pandemic.
On her 115th birthday, she received a congratulatory letter from King Charles.
