A ceremony was held in Ankara, the capital of Turkey, in connection with the 5th anniversary of November 8 - Victory Day.

The event, held at the Gazi Army House in Ankara, began with a respectful commemoration of those martyred for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and the playing of the national anthems of both countries.

At the event, attended by members of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, government and state representatives of the brotherly country, commanders of various branches of the armed forces, heads of law enforcement agencies, representatives of the diplomatic corps in Ankara,   prominent politicians, public figures, activists of the Azerbaijani diaspora, and media representatives, Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Turkey Rashad Mammadov and Turkey's Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler delivered speeches. The speeches highlighted the tangible results of the glorious Victory achieved by the heroic Azerbaijani Army under the leadership of Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev in the 44-day Patriotic War, the fraternal relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey, and the efforts of our states to create an environment of peace, stability, and development in the region.

The screening of a film reflecting Azerbaijan's glorious history of independence was met with great interest at the event.

The cake-cutting ceremony, held with the participation of Azerbaijani and Turkish officials, also evoked pleasant emotions among the event participants.

The event dedicated to the 5th anniversary of Victory Day concluded with an artistic program.
