The Zangezur corridor will be the logical and strategic continuation of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway.
According to Modern.az, this was stated by Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov while speaking at the 7th Consultative Meeting of Central Asian Heads of State in Tashkent.
"The construction of the strategically important China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway will not only connect our countries but also reformat logistics, opening the shortest path to the largest markets in Asia and Europe. In this context, the Zangezur corridor construction project appears as a logical and strategic continuation of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway", S. Japarov stated.
The Kyrgyz leader also proposed the development of a unified electronic platform called "Digital Transit Corridor" for the exchange of customs data and the processing of permits based on the 'single window' principle.
According to him, the launch of such a platform will help increase the efficiency of interactions in the transport sector.
