Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Tehran, Ali Alizadeh, stated that high-level visits between officials of the two countries will continue in the near future.
Modern.az reports that in an interview with ISNA, Ali Alizadeh also spoke about the first summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) held in Karabakh.
The ambassador reminded that holding the ECO summit in Khankendi, a city in liberated Karabakh, is an important moment for Azerbaijan.
A. Alizadeh stated that the results of the summit, in which Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian also participated, and its additional events were extremely successful, and that the leaders gave instructions to accelerate cooperation in economic, trade, energy, cultural, and humanitarian fields.
Ali Alizadeh emphasized that Azerbaijan, as an ECO member, is determined to strengthen cooperation and make greater efforts for the development of relations among member countries.
Evaluating the future of economic cooperation, the ambassador pointed to the development of economic ties among ECO member countries and said:
"The trade volume among members increases every year, and I am confident that economic and commercial ties will further strengthen."
Stating that Iran-Azerbaijan relations are on a "brotherhood and friendship" plane, Alizadeh added: "I hope everything will progress. As you know, the Iranian President has already made two successful visits to Azerbaijan, and high-level meetings and visits between the two sides will take place in the near future."
