The 5th President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Ersin Tatar, was a guest on "MediaTürkTv".
Modern.az reports that he recalled the strategic warnings of National Leader Heydar Aliyev regarding the Caucasus-Anatolia-Mediterranean Sea line and drew attention to the importance of recent geopolitical developments in the region.
Ersin Tatar recalled Heydar Aliyev's statement: "Carefully monitor the Caucasus-Anatolia-Mediterranean Sea line, from Ceyhan to Hatay Bay and to the Cape of Cyprus":
"These warnings by Great Leader Heydar Aliyev have become even more valuable geopolitically today. These words are not merely observations, but a visionary perspective on the future of the Turkic world".
Ersin Tatar also spoke about the maritime jurisdiction agreement between the Greek Cypriot administration and Lebanon:
"Today, the Greek Cypriot administration is eyeing the maritime and land connections of the Turkic world by all means. The moves in recent years have increased the geostrategic importance of the region. Cyprus is the border fortress of the Turkic world in the Eastern Mediterranean. Therefore, the sensitivity of both Turkey, Azerbaijan, and the Turkic states to the events here is of great importance.
The former president of Northern Cyprus emphasized that coordinated action by the Turkic world has become imperative in the face of ongoing developments:
"The geopolitical struggle in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Caucasus is now much harsher. Heydar Aliyev's warnings from years ago have proven entirely correct today. We must adopt this approach".
