Today in Baku, the I meeting of the Ministers of Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the Organization of Turkic States was held.
Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu, Minister of Labor and Social Security of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, gave exclusive statements to “MediaTürk” TV and Modern.az, conveying important messages to the Turkic world.
Hasipoğlu thanked at the meeting for Turkey's Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan's emphasis that it is unacceptable for the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to be kept under embargo for years.
“Mr. Vedat Işıkhan's explicitly stating that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus should not be allowed to be crushed under embargo is extremely valuable for us. This is not just a statement; it is a strong destiny for the rightful struggle of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus within the Turkic world.”
The Minister particularly emphasized that the time has come for Northern Cyprus to be admitted as a full member to the Organization of Turkic States:
“This demand is not a political stance; it is a historical necessity. Northern Cyprus's full membership in the OTS is inevitable. We want to hold a strong, equal, and respected place within our Turkic world family.

Hasipoğlu, stating that the Greek Cypriot side has taken steps aimed at excluding Northern Cyprus from every international platform, emphasized that these attempts should now be responded to more harshly and decisively:
“The Greek Cypriot side's attempts to exclude us from platforms and deprive us of our rights should no longer be met with tolerance. Northern Cyprus is a strong Turkic state with its constitution, institutions, and state wisdom. We do not accept initiatives to disregard us.”
Hasipoğlu, evaluating the support given by Turkey and Azerbaijan to Northern Cyprus as “strategic solidarity,” stated:
“The support we receive from Azerbaijan and Turkey gives us strength and makes us proud. The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus is an inseparable part of the Turkic world, and we aim for a stronger position within this family.”
