Nobel Peace Prize laureate Narges Mohammadi has been detained in Iran.
Modern.az reports on this, citing "The Guardian" publication.
It is reported that she was detained in Mashhad while attending the funeral ceremony of human rights defender Khosrow Alikourdi. Alikourdi had recently been found dead under unknown circumstances.
It is noted that two other activists were also detained along with Narges Mohammadi.
Mohammadi was serving a sentence of 13 years and nine months in prison since November 2021 on charges of conspiracy against state security and propaganda against the Iranian government.
