The news that Hacıbala Abutalıbov, the former head of Baku City Executive Power, has moved from Baku to Ağçay village in Qax district, has been officially confirmed.
Həşim Həsənov, the chairman of the Ilisu rural administrative-territorial district representation of the Qax District Executive Power, informed Modern.az about this.
Ağçay village, where the former mayor lives, is part of the Ilisu administrative-territorial district.
The executive representative stated that Hacıbala Abutalıbov has been living in Ağçay village for nearly 3 years. He also noted that the former mayor of Baku does not socialize with the villagers. Hacıbala Abutalıbov mainly spends his time in the yard of his villa located in Ağçay.
It should be noted that the main reason for the former mayor's move to this village is related to his wife being originally from there.
Hacıbala Abutalıbov has two sons, and it is reported that they live separately.
H. Abutalıbov served as the head of the Surakhany District Executive Power of Baku city from February 1995 to January 2000.
From January 2000 to January 2001, he served as Deputy Prime Minister.
In January 2001, he was appointed head of the Baku City Executive Power.
Mr. Abutalıbov, who led the Baku City Executive Power for exactly 18 years, was dismissed from this position on April 21, 2018. On the same day, by presidential decree, he was appointed Deputy Prime Minister.
On October 21, 2019, Hacıbala Abutalıbov was also dismissed from the position of Deputy Prime Minister and sent into retirement.
On March 5, 2021, at the VII Congress of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), Hacıbala Abutalıbov was removed from the party's Board.
He is currently a member of the YAP Veterans Council.
