Ookla, a global company specializing in broadband and mobile network quality assessment, has presented its “Speedtest Global Index” report for December.
Modern.az reports that, according to the new report, the median speed of fixed broadband internet in Azerbaijan was 88.83 Mb/s, while the median speed of mobile internet was 87.92 Mb/s.
Compared to November, the speed of fixed broadband internet increased by 2.68 MB/s or 3.11%, and the speed of mobile internet increased by 4.55 Mb/s or 5.46%.
This increase is an indicator of digital transformation in the country, the demand for electronic services, and the expansion of remote work and education opportunities, and confirms Azerbaijan's rising position in global internet rankings.
