Specialist in International Relations and Political Sciences Prof. Dr. Ulvi Keser made important statements regarding the agenda in the program “Net Baxış 360 Dərəcə” broadcast on MediaTürk TV and hosted by journalist Serdar Şengül.
Prof. Dr. Keser stated that the Middle East is being deliberately and systematically turned into a “boiling cauldron”, while the Turkic world is being preoccupied with an artificial war agenda from the north, east, and south. According to him, this process will create serious instability in the region, and the globally impactful “artificial war front” is profoundly shaking the states located in that geography.
Emphasizing that the Middle East has historically been a problematic region, Keser noted that such tensions are not new:
“Similar problems existed 300 years ago. As long as interests and profit calculations persist, ensuring lasting stability in the Middle East is not possible”.
Prof. Dr. Keser, also evaluating US President Donald Trump's approach to Iran, stated that Trump began 2026 with unexpected moves and was forced to backtrack on the Iran issue. According to him, the Trump administration tested Russia against the backdrop of the Ukrainian crisis and clearly observed Vladimir Putin's military power in this process. At the same time, it was noted that Iran also became part of this geopolitical test.
Keser emphasized that the US leadership does not even possess precise information on whether Iran has reached the desired level. He expressed his belief that the Trump administration experienced serious fears and concerns regarding what Iran's “secret power” entails.
Prof. Dr. Ulvi Keser, also addressing Turkey's regional position in the program, stated that Turkey is fully prepared for all processes occurring in Iran, both diplomatically and within the framework of emergencies. Emphasizing that the Turkish state possesses a deep and rooted tradition of statehood, Keser said that Turkey is a unique country globally in the fields of peace and humanitarian operations and is constantly vigilant against all crises.
