On January 20, in Davos, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with Jamie Dimon, Chairman and CEO of J.P. Morgan, one of the world's leading global financial institutions, from the United States of America.
Modern.az reports that the head of our state emphasized the importance of the existing cooperation between the State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan and other institutions of our country with J.P. Morgan, highlighting its long-term nature and its foundation in mutual trust.
Jamie Dimon, highly appreciating Azerbaijan's position as a reliable partner in international financial markets, stated that there is a stable investment environment in our country. He also noted that Azerbaijan pursues a consistent financial policy. Jamie Dimon stated that the company he leads attaches special importance to long-term cooperation with the State Oil Fund, that this partnership is based on strong institutional foundations, and that they are interested in further deepening it.
During the conversation, the company's long-standing cooperation in financing SOCAR's activities was noted with satisfaction, and an exchange of views was held regarding future projects related to the expansion of the partnership between J.P. Morgan and SOCAR.
During the meeting, an exchange of views took place regarding the involvement of J.P. Morgan for the purpose of investing in the US energy sector by our country, the current situation in global financial markets, the international investment environment, and macroeconomic challenges. Opportunities for institutional investors arising from global economic processes and long-term cooperation prospects were also discussed.
