During an operation conducted by employees of the Lankaran City District Police Department against the illegal circulation of narcotics, 46-year-old Ilyas Ismayilov and 41-year-old Vali Abdullayev, who were previously convicted, were also detained.

"In total, from these individuals, over 18 kilograms of marijuana, heroin, opium, methamphetamine, 427 psychotropic pills, and 5 electronic scales were discovered.
It was determined that the detained individuals obtained the narcotic substances from Iranian citizens, whose identities are being investigated, to deliver them to specified addresses. A criminal case has been initiated regarding the fact, and a pre-trial detention measure has been chosen for the detained individuals. Investigations are ongoing," the statement noted.
