Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that he received a personal message from Trump regarding an invitation to the "Peace Council".

Modern.az reports that this was noted in a TASS report.

He instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to study the proposal, consult with partners, and subsequently for the Russian Federation to respond.

Putin considers it important that the Gaza process positively influences the resolution of the Middle East conflict.

According to him, the Russian Federation is ready to send 1 billion dollars to the "Peace Council" from frozen funds in the US.

He added that Russia is discussing with the US the use of the Russian Federation's frozen assets for the restoration of territories after the war with Ukraine and confirmed that it plans to contact Witkoff and Kushner on January 22.
