Uzbekistan's Public Works Advisor, former MP Azizbek Omonov, extensively evaluated the threatening statements made by Russian philosopher Aleksandr Dugin towards the Turkic world during the “360 Dərəcə” program broadcast on MediaTürk TV.
Modern.az reports that Omonov stated that excessive importance should not be given to Dugin's expressed views. According to him, Dugin's personal life is full of contradictions and he presents an unsuccessful image. For this reason, his statements cannot be taken seriously from either a political or strategic perspective. Omonov emphasized that Dugin's rhetoric is a clear indicator of extreme Russian nationalism and fascist ideology, and such approaches cannot have any impact on the unity and development of the Turkic world.
Azizbek Omonov noted that Dugin's threatening statements against Turkic states are, in fact, an expression of weakness and fear. He pointed out that the Turkic world is no longer fragmented and ineffective as it was in the past; on the contrary, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and other Turkic states are growing stronger economically, politically, and militarily each year.
During the program, Omonov also touched upon Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan relations, stating that interstate ties between the two countries are at the highest level. He noted that joint projects are being successfully implemented within the framework of strategic partnership, and mutual trust and fraternal relations are further strengthening.
Speaking specifically about the New Tashkent project, Azizbek Omonov emphasized that influential and strong Azerbaijani companies are actively participating in the construction sector of this large-scale project. According to him, the projects implemented by Azerbaijani companies in Uzbekistan demonstrate the real results of economic cooperation between the two countries and promise great prospects for the future.
In conclusion, Omonov noted that today the Turkic world is transforming into a great power, formed not only on the basis of common history and culture, but also on common interests, strong economic ties, and political solidarity. From this perspective, external threats and provocative statements hold no significance.
