On the night of January 24, in the territory of Sumgayit city, two unknown individuals entered the yard of a house with an open door and stole household items worth 2000 manats. The victim reported this to the police.
Modern.az reports that through measures carried out by employees of the Sumgayit City Police Department's 2nd Police Division, a 23-year-old woman and 35-year-old Vagif Shafiyev, previously convicted and suspected of committing the theft, were identified and detained.
During the investigation, it was revealed that they had observed the house from outside some time ago and, taking advantage of the lack of movement, looted the household items and sold them to metal reception points.
An investigation is underway.
