As we reported, a group of representatives of Azerbaijani civil society – experts and journalists – traveled to Armenia today from the delimited section of the land border.

Modern.az reports that this is the second visit of Azerbaijani civil society representatives to Armenia, but the first crossing from the delimited section of the border.

For the first time in 30 years, representatives of Azerbaijani civil society have crossed the Armenia-Azerbaijan border.

It should be noted that Azerbaijani representatives entered the Kirants district of Armenia's Tavush province, located on the border, from the territory of Gazakh district.

According to Armenia's Public Radio, the visit is part of the "Bridge of Peace" initiative. A bilateral roundtable discussion bringing together Armenian and Azerbaijani civil society representatives will be held in Yerevan on February 13-14.

The Azerbaijani delegation traveling to Armenia includes 17 people.
