The trial in the criminal case of Tural Ganbayev, accused of attempting to murder his ex-wife in Shirvan city, has concluded.
Modern.az reports that the final decision was announced at the session held at the Lankaran Court of Grave Crimes, chaired by Judge Annaghi Mammadli.
By the court's verdict, the accused person was sentenced to 14 years of imprisonment.
It should be recalled that the criminal incident was recorded in Shirvan in October last year. During a fight that arose from a conflict, Tural Ganbayev inflicted 11 knife wounds on his ex-wife Lamiya Ganbayeva, and then attempted to kill himself by ingesting acetic acid.
He was charged under Articles 29, 120.2.4 of the Criminal Code (attempted murder with particular cruelty or by a generally dangerous method).
It should be noted that the victim Lamiya Ganbayeva is an employee of the public relations department at the "Shirvan City Central Hospital" LLC. (APA)
