In January, 23,046 foreigners and stateless persons applied for registration by place of stay in Azerbaijan.
Modern.az reports that information on this matter was provided by the State Migration Service (SMS).
It was stated that 12,360 of them applied directly, and 10,686 applied electronically.
During the past month, applications from 5,934 persons regarding the acquisition and extension of residence permits in Azerbaijan, and applications from 79 persons regarding citizenship issues were registered.
During the mentioned period, 586 foreigners and stateless persons applied to the SMS regarding the acquisition and extension of work permits to engage in paid labor activity in Azerbaijan.
