Last year, 59834 deaths were registered in the country, and compared to 2024, this indicator per 1000 people remained unchanged at the same level (5.8).
Modern.az reports that this is reflected in the State Statistical Committee's publication reflecting the macroeconomic indicators of the country's economic and social development.
It was reported that 2292 of the deceased (3.8 percent) were aged 0-17, 5839 people (9.8 percent) were aged 18-49, 14230 people (23.8 percent) were aged 50-64, and 37473 people (62.6 percent) were aged 65 and above.
