A series of thefts have been recorded in the Sabunçu district. Specifically, during nighttime hours, unknown individuals entered a total of 7 houses and stole electrical wires valued at approximately 10 thousand manats.
Modern.az reports that to cover their tracks, they also broke surveillance cameras installed in some of the houses.
As a result of measures taken by employees of the 42nd Police Department of the Sabunçu District Police Department, 41-year-old Arif Sultanov and 29-year-old Jafar Jafarguliyev, previously convicted and suspected of committing the looting crimes, have been detained.
Investigations revealed that the detained individuals sold the stolen wires to non-ferrous metal collection points.
Investigations are ongoing.
