On February 26, traffic will be restricted on some roads in Baku due to the anniversary of the Khojaly genocide.
Modern.az reports that the Baku City State Traffic Police Department has issued information regarding this.
The STP appealed to drivers regarding this. The appeal states that traffic will be restricted on some streets and avenues due to the 34th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide:
"The traffic restriction is implemented to ensure the comfortable, uninterrupted, and safe movement of those commemorating the victims of the tragedy. On February 26, from 08:00 AM until the end of the ceremony, traffic will be restricted and redirected on Mehdi Mehdizade, Kamandar Ahmadov, Ayaz Ismayilov, Suleyman Vazirov, and Izzat Orujov streets, which intersect with, connect to, and run parallel to Khojaly Avenue.
It is recommended to use personal vehicles as little as possible in this direction and to prefer public transport."
