Based on complaints received regarding the demand for money from various enterprises and facilities, presenting himself as an employee of one of the television channels broadcasting in the country, 34-year-old Shahriyar Hasanzade was detained in the territory of Lankaran city.

"Investigations have revealed that he contacted responsible persons of enterprises and organizations, claiming to have prepared a report that would harm their business reputation, and demanded various sums of money in exchange for not broadcasting these materials on television and social networks.
Investigations and other measures regarding Sh. Hasanzade's illegal actions are ongoing", the statement said.
