Preventive measures aimed at preventing environmental crimes are being continued by employees of the Police Department for Water Transport.
According to information provided to Modern.az by the Shirvan regional group of the Press Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, during the conducted operation, M. Zeynalov, who was engaged in illegal fishing with prohibited methods and means in the section of the Araz River passing through Imishli district, was detained. Fishing tools and fish of various species illegally caught by the person were discovered.
During the next operation conducted by water police in the same direction, Sh. Shirinov and R. Ahmadov, who committed similar acts in the section of the Kura River passing through Neftchala district, were also detained. Synthetic nets, fishing tools, and illegally caught fish were discovered from the mentioned individuals.
An investigation is being conducted regarding the facts.
