34 years have passed since the Khojaly genocide, which remains in memory as one of the most painful pages in Azerbaijani history. Every year, thousands of people visit the "Mother's Cry" memorial complex, which symbolizes the pain and suffering of the genocide and the ruined fate of innocent people, expressing their respect for the victims of the tragedy. In Salyan district, the memory of the victims of the Khojaly tragedy was also commemorated with respect.
Modern.az reports that to commemorate the memory of our compatriots who died in the Khojaly tragedy, the Head of Salyan District Executive Power Rustam Khalilov, Chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party Salyan district organization Elmar Ahmadov, heads of law enforcement agencies, and representatives of the district community visited the "Martyrs'" memorial complex, laid wreaths and flowers, and bowed respectfully before the unforgettable memory of our compatriots who were martyred for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, including in Khojaly. During the commemoration ceremony, the memory of the victims of the "Khojaly tragedy" was honored with a minute of silence, and prayers were read for the souls of the martyrs.
The Khojaly genocide remains in history not only as a grave crime committed against the Azerbaijani people but also against humanity as a whole. It is considered the moral duty of every citizen to ensure that this tragedy is not forgotten and is conveyed to future generations.
On the 34th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide, we once again commemorate the dear memory of the innocent victims of the tragedy with deep sorrow and respect.
