The number of foreign women who married Turkish citizens in 2025 has been announced.
Modern.az reports that, according to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), the total number of foreign brides marrying in Turkey was 28,646.
Statistics show that Russian women constituted 5.7% of this figure. Syrian women ranked first with 13.8%, followed by Uzbekistan (13.7%) and Morocco (9.6%). Azerbaijani women (6.8%) are in 4th place on the list. Last year, 1947 Azerbaijani women married Turkish citizens.
In addition, last year, 5,347 Turkish women married foreign nationals. Among foreign grooms, Syrians ranked first with 20.9%. The number of Turkish women who married Azerbaijani grooms was 251. This constitutes 4.7% of Turkish female citizens who married foreign nationals.
