“Thousands of our compatriots continue to buy low-quality products”.
Modern.az reports that Chingiz Ganizade, Chairman of the Committee on Democracy and Human Rights, stated this during the discussion of the Ombudsman's report at today's meeting of the Human Rights Committee of the Milli Majlis.
He noted that recently, images were circulated showing the moldy part of a moldy cheese being cut off and put back on sale in one of the markets:
“It is a very serious fact. Furthermore, 200 people get poisoned at some wedding or celebration, but what is the outcome: no one is punished.
At one point, a person known as “Leş Tofiq” (Carrion Tofiq) was also selling dead meat; he was caught but released after 3 days. We must re-establish cooperation with the Ombudsman. This is an extremely dangerous fact. Food terrorism against Azerbaijani citizens must be prevented,” - he concluded.
