Presenter Tarix Aliyev (Tolik) today bid farewell to his audience on live broadcast.
Modern.az reports that Tolik stated that he resigned from his job with his own application:
"If I infringe upon the rights of the management and employees due to a mistake I made not on television, but on a social network, my conscience will ache. For over a year, I have been hosting the program "A Day in History" on "Space TV" and there have been no legal violations in my program. When I submitted my resignation application from presenting to the management, my conscience was relieved. My inability to control my nerves, my expressing emotional opinions to someone else, cannot tarnish the success of a major channel. There is one thing I will lose in life, and that is my child. This is a punishment I have given myself."
Tolik added that the news circulating on social media is not true:
"I am not handing over my program to another presenter. I have also not been the head of the music department at the channel."
It should be noted that singer Saida Sultan had criticized the promotion of vulgar songs in programs. Following this, a dispute arose between Tolik and Saida during a live broadcast on TikTok. The parties exchanged insults.(Axsam.az)
