In Baku, kiosks selling certain products have recently either been closed or dismantled and moved to another location. The reason for this is certain changes made to the roads.
Modern.az reports that, according to sellers, trade has decreased by 2-3 times. Individuals who found themselves operating at a loss have chosen to close their establishments.
Regarding the issue, the Land Transport Agency stated that in suitable locations, considering the requests of citizens and business entities, conditions have been created for passengers of private cars to briefly get on and off in special traffic lanes. To date, pick-up and drop-off points have been organized at 27 locations across a total of 16 streets and avenues, and the process continues in accordance with the results of analyses. Private cars can be parked in designated parking areas created nearby, or in suitable locations on intersecting and connecting streets. It should be noted that the locations of the aforementioned kiosks are movable. For this reason, these establishments can be installed in places that do not obstruct traffic. (Xezer TV)
