We thank the people and state of Azerbaijan.
Modern.az reports that Iran's Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Mojtaba Demircilu, stated this at a press conference held at the embassy.
The ambassador stated that messages of solidarity addressed from Azerbaijan during difficult days are highly appreciated by the Iranian people.
According to him, mutual support and solidarity are part of the historical and cultural ties between the two countries.
In his speech, the ambassador also emphasized that the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, offered condolences to the Iranian President regarding the passing of the Supreme Leader and highly appreciated the support shown to Iran: "A telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, Abbas Araqchi. During the conversation, an exchange of views was held on the processes taking place in the region. Within the framework of the telephone conversation, the Azerbaijani side once again emphasized that the country will not allow its territory to be used against any state, including Iran. This position has been repeatedly declared by official Baku."
