Modern.az reports this, citing the Central Bank. According to the information, the operation of the AniPay mobile application and the anipay.az internet page will be suspended by the CBA starting from March 4, 2026.
This decision was adopted with the aim of expanding the competitive environment in the digital payments market and promoting the development of payment services. It is envisaged that similar services will be continued by financial sector participants starting from the mentioned date. This is because AniPay functions are already available in mobile banking applications.
The suspension of the AniPay application and internet page will create new opportunities for financial sector participants in the country, further accelerating competition and the development of innovative solutions.
It was noted that this decision is part of the Central Bank's development strategy aimed at promoting payment services. This step will create conditions for banks and other payment service providers to participate more actively in the market.
