Today, a telephone conversation took place between Prime Minister Ali Asadov and Mikhail Mishustin, Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation.
According to information provided to Modern.az by the Cabinet of Ministers, current issues of Azerbaijan-Russia trade and economic cooperation were discussed during the telephone conversation.
A positive dynamic in the growth of trade turnover was noted. Issues concerning the implementation of joint projects in various areas of mutual interest were reviewed.
During the conversation, the Russian side expressed its gratitude to the Azerbaijani leadership for the assistance provided in the prompt evacuation of citizens of the Russian Federation from the Islamic Republic of Iran under complex regional circumstances.
The heads of government emphasized the importance of the delegation's visit to Baku yesterday, led by the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government, and welcomed the agreement reached on holding the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation in Azerbaijan in April of this year.
Taking the opportunity, Ali Asadov congratulated Mishustin on his 60th anniversary and wished him success in his future state activities.
