Today, the execution of attack acts by the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran using unmanned aerial vehicles against the international airport and other civilian infrastructure of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of the Republic of Azerbaijan has caused serious concern and great indignation among the members of the New Azerbaijan Party, as well as the entire Azerbaijani public.
According to information provided to Modern.az from the Central Office of the New Azerbaijan Party, this treacherous provocative attempt, which contradicts the spirit of Azerbaijan-Iran interstate relations and norms of international law, serves to increase military-political tension in the region.
It was noted that the independent Azerbaijani state, which has created new realities by restoring its territorial integrity and absolute sovereignty, has always remained committed to the principle of good neighborliness: "Our country's constructive policy and peace diplomacy, implemented today with consideration for national interests and global challenges, are aimed at building trust in the context of reliable security and multifaceted cooperation in the region. At the same time, Azerbaijan, strengthening its military-strategic potential as the leading state of the South Caucasus, is capable of preventing any threat directed at national and regional security. We strongly condemn this act of aggression by the neighboring Iranian state and demand an unequivocal end to biased propaganda and all provocative attempts against our country, with an apology to the Azerbaijani people!".
