The French Government strongly condemned the drone attack on Nakhchivan International Airport.
Modern.az reports that this was stated in a statement published on the website of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
It was stated that on the morning of March 5, 2026, Nakhchivan International Airport, located in Nakhchivan city, Azerbaijan, was subjected to an attack by Iranian drones. It is noted that four people were injured as a result of the incident.
Official Paris declared its strongest condemnation of the attack and wished a speedy recovery to those injured during the attack.
France, at the same time, emphasized its full solidarity with Azerbaijan in the face of this incident. The statement noted that the drone attack carried out against Nakhchivan International Airport is a clear violation of Azerbaijan's sovereignty and international law.
The French side, assessing the attack as an unjustified and unacceptable step, once again emphasized the importance of maintaining stability in the region and respecting international law.
