“Just because our Supreme Leader has passed away, it doesn't mean that the system is not functioning. For example, yesterday I learned that such an incident occurred, and I immediately spoke with the minister (ed.-Abbas Araqchi).”
According to **Modern.az**, Iran's Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Mojtaba Dermichilou, said this in an interview with “Baku TV” while speaking about the drone attack on Nakhchivan.
“The minister also held discussions with our other ministers. As I said, the system is functioning; naturally, we are not in a normal situation as there is a war, but that does not mean everything in Iran has been destroyed.”
**Speaking about the punishment awaiting those behind the Iranian attack, the ambassador stated that appropriate decisions would be made after bilateral work is carried out. **
"We need to look at what the issue actually was and from which side it originated. So far, the Iranian Armed Forces have officially announced that Iran did not carry out a drone attack on Nakhchivan. We must conduct bilateral work in this area. The information you have is needed by us, and our information is needed by you." - said M. Dermichilou
It should be recalled that although Azerbaijan has repeatedly stated that its territory would not be used for any military operations against Iran, on March 5, the mullah regime attacked Nakhchivan with drones. It has been technically established that four unmanned aerial vehicles were directed by the Iranian Armed Forces towards Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan region to carry out acts of aggression.
