A.Z., born in 1998, and E.F., born in 1999, both citizens of Azerbaijan, have been detained in Batumi, Georgia, on charges of aiding the illegal acquisition, storage, and sale of large quantities of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances by a group of individuals.
Modern.az reports that this was announced by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
From the accused individuals, their temporary residences, as well as from various locations during the investigative experiment, various types of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances prepared for sale in particularly large quantities, including cocaine, dried marijuana, methamphetamine, Lyrica, and pregabalin pills, were seized. The police also confiscated materials necessary for packaging the narcotic drugs.
An investigation is underway regarding the incident. For the committed criminal acts, a prison sentence of up to 20 years or life imprisonment is stipulated.(APA)
