Measures are being continued to ensure the safety of cyclists and develop micromobility in the capital. For this purpose, new generation bicycle sections have been installed on traffic lights at 5 more intersections by the Intelligent Transport Management Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Modern.az reports that bicycle sections have been installed at the intersections of Khatai Avenue with Abdüləzəl Dəmirçizadə, Əhməd bəy Ağaoğlu, Əliağa Vahid, and Neymət Quliyev streets in Narimanov district, as well as at the intersection of Jafar Jabbarli street with Mahammad Nakhchivani street in Yasamal district.
In total, 14 bicycle sections have been added to the traffic lights at these intersections. The new generation sections, equipped with LED lighting, enable cyclists to move more safely and comfortably on the roads.
It should be noted that to date, 136 bicycle sections have been installed and put into operation on traffic lights at 54 intersections located on the capital's roads. Work in this direction is being continued.
