The sharp growth dynamics observed in retail trade turnover in the districts and cities of Azerbaijan in 2025 compared to 2024 have been announced.
Modern.az reports that trade activity has increased several times in a number of regions, especially in the liberated territories.
Khojaly district leads the list with the highest growth rate. Here, trade turnover increased from 2 million 136 thousand manats to 11 million 49 thousand manats, an increase of 8 million 913 thousand manats, or 5.2 times. In Khankendi city, the indicator rose from 8 million 401 thousand manats to 15 million 185 thousand manats, an increase of 6 million 784 thousand manats (80.8 percent). In Kalbajar district, trade turnover increased from 5 million 843 thousand manats to 9 million 577 thousand manats, an increase of 3 million 734 thousand manats, or 63.9 percent.
The growth dynamics for other regions are as follows:
In Aghdara district, turnover reached 1 million 604 thousand manats from 1 million 36 thousand manats, with an increase of 568 thousand manats or 54.8 percent.
In Lachin district, the indicator rose from 12 million 431 thousand manats to 17 million 443 thousand manats, with an increase of 5 million 12 thousand manats or 40.3 percent.
In Jabrayil district, trade turnover reached 29 million 774 thousand manats from 21 million 630 thousand manats, with an increase of 8 million 143 thousand manats (37.6 percent).
Further down the list, an increase of 113 million 323 thousand manats (19.9 percent) was recorded in Masally district, 324 million 598 thousand manats (17.2 percent) in Sumgayit city, and 14 million 303 thousand manats (15.4 percent) in Fuzuli district.
In the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, trade turnover increased by 153 million 806 thousand manats, or 12.7 percent, rising from 1 billion 212 million 534 thousand manats to 1 billion 366 million 340 thousand manats. (Fed.az)
