Another operation against illegal drug trafficking was conducted by employees of the Ganja City Main Police Department.
According to information provided to Modern.az by the Ganja regional group of the Ministry of Internal Affairs' press service, during the event, 33-year-old Adil Adilov was detained on suspicion of drug courier activities. From the sports bag in his hand, 27 kilograms 475 grams of heroin, a narcotic substance with highly potent properties, were discovered.
In his statement, the detained person stated that he obtained the drugs through an Iranian citizen, whose identity he met on a social network and is being investigated by the inquiry, and planned to deliver them to various addresses within the city.
It should be noted that the value of the heroin discovered from A. Adilov in the “black market” is estimated at 1 million 600 thousand manats.
A criminal case has been initiated at the Ganja City Main Police Department regarding the fact. By court decision, a pre-trial detention measure has been chosen for A. Adilov. Operational-investigative measures are ongoing.
