Approximately 100 students are studying at the National Artificial Intelligence Academy.
According to Modern.az, this was stated by Samaddin Asadov, Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport, at the public hearing held today by the Agrarian Policy Committee of the Milli Majlis on the topic of “Application of Artificial Intelligence in Agriculture: Results and Prospects”.
“This is a six-month program. Since its establishment, the Artificial Intelligence Academy has commenced active cooperation with London Imperial College, Carnegie Mellon University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Harvard, and Stanford universities. Within the framework of this six-month program, students are provided with both deep mathematical knowledge and expertise in the fields of “machine learning” and “deep learning”. Naturally, the number of students is not very high yet – approximately one hundred people, and the first graduates will complete this program in the near future.
The main objective of this activity is to meet, to some extent, the demand for artificial intelligence engineers in both the public and private sectors in the initial stage and in a short period. Naturally, academies of this type cannot fully satisfy all needs at the country level,” he noted.
Our country has already risen to 70th place among 195 countries in the government AI readiness index.
