The EU has approved new sanctions against Iran.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by Kaya Kallas, the European Union's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.
“The EU continues to hold Iran accountable. Today, ambassadors of EU member states approved new sanctions targeting 19 regime officials and entities responsible for serious human rights violations. As Iran's war continues, the EU will protect its interests and will pursue those responsible for internal repression. This also sends a message to Tehran that Iran's future should not be built on repression”, - Kallas noted.
