President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev held a joint press conference with the President of the European Council António Costa in Baku.
Modern.az reports that during his speech, the President expressed his confidence that Costa's visit will play an important role in the future development of bilateral relations.
“Last year, I looked at the economic indicators several times, and in January of this year, 50 percent of our trade was carried out with the European Union. This shows that the European Union is our number one trade partner.
I am confident that with new projects, investment opportunities, and increased investments in both directions, we will operate more actively in this area,” the head of state emphasized.
