Russia has sent humanitarian aid to Iran.
Modern.az reports that the “Il-76” aircraft of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, carrying humanitarian aid, landed at Lankaran International Airport.
The humanitarian cargo, weighing over thirteen tons, consists of medicines and medical supplies.
Vehicles loaded with humanitarian aid are being dispatched to the “Astara” state border crossing point to be sent to Iran.
It should be noted that on March 11, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin called President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. Vladimir Putin expressed his gratitude to the head of our state for the prompt assistance provided in the evacuation of Russian citizens from the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as for the conditions created for his country's humanitarian aid sent to Iran to pass through the territory of Azerbaijan.(AzerTac)
