In connection with Novruz holiday, from March 13 to 17, “Agrarian Procurement and Supply” OJSC, under the Ministry of Agriculture (KTN), organized a “From Village to City” Novruz fair in Khankendi city. This is the 9th fair held in Khankendi.
According to information provided to Modern.az by the Public Relations Department of the Restoration, Construction and Management Service in Khankendi city, Aghdara and Khojaly districts, the main purpose of the fair is to assist residents in obtaining natural, local agricultural products at reasonable prices during the holiday season, and at the same time, to support local farmers' access to the market and create alternative sales opportunities for them.
Faiq Huseynov, a member of the Board of Directors of “Agrarian Procurement and Supply” OJSC, stated that 40 different varieties of agricultural products were put up for sale by farmers at the fair.
In total, Novruz fairs have been organized by “Agrarian Procurement and Supply” OJSC in 12 locations. The liberated territories are kept in focus when expanding the geography of the fairs.
For the first time, a “From Village to City” Novruz fair will also be held in Horovlu village of Jabrayil district and Aghali village of Zangilan district. The holiday fair will operate on March 16 in Jabrayil and on March 17 in Zangilan.
