As of early 2026, the number of recipients of monthly social benefits provided by the state in Azerbaijan amounted to 471,796 people.
Modern.az reports, citing the State Statistical Committee, that this indicator increased by 4.1 percent compared to 2025.
According to statistics, the largest share among social benefit recipients belongs to those receiving disability benefits. 226,855 people are registered in this category. The number of recipients of age-based benefits was 166,727 people, and this indicator represents a 6.7 percent increase compared to the previous year.
According to the information, the number of recipients of benefits for children with disabilities under 18 years of age amounted to 43,270 people. The number of recipients of benefits for loss of family breadwinner was 55,190 people.
At the same time, the number of recipients of monthly compensation for victims of industrial accidents and occupational diseases is 280 people. The number of recipients of benefits for children of certain categories of persons is 5,329 people, and the number of recipients of benefits for children of fixed-term active military personnel is 657 people.
Additionally, the number of children in families with children under 1 year of age is 2,794 people, and the number of children of women with more than five children is 13,167 people. The number of guardians and custodians of children deprived of parental care is 169 people, and the number of recipients of benefits for adopted children is 42 people. The number of recipients of benefits in other categories was 586 people.
