Heydar Aliyev International Airport will operate under an enhanced work regime from March 20 to 30, 2026, considering the expected increase in passenger traffic during the upcoming holiday period.
From the international airport, it was reported to Modern.az that all airport services will operate continuously to meet the increasing travel demand during the holiday period.
To ensure safe and efficient flight operations, the activities of operational services will be strengthened, and additional organizational measures will be taken for the efficient management of passenger flow.
To ensure passengers complete the check-in process comfortably and on time, they are advised to arrive at the airport at least 2–3 hours before their flight. Furthermore, to prevent loss of time, passengers are advised to complete online check-in in advance via the official website or mobile application of the operating airline.
To conveniently reach Heydar Aliyev International Airport from the city center, the “Airport Express” (H1 line) operates. The route provides continuous (24/7) service throughout the day from 28 May Metro Station (Transport Exchange Center) and Koroglu Metro Station towards Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 of Heydar Aliyev International Airport.
Additionally, to ensure passenger comfort, special “drop-off / pick-up” lanes are available in the terminal area, where a brief stop of 3 minutes is permitted. In the airport's parking zone, the first 15 minutes of parking are free of charge.
